Meets on various days
Meet at the church parking lot (where our meetings are held.), 2001 Calle Frontera, San Clemente to carpool to our destination.
Our first field trip will be to Sherman Gardens in Corona del Mar. I’m sure many of you have visited the gardens before but now through October 29, there are contemporary glass sculptures displayed throughout the gardens. It is very pretty. Our docent lead tour is Monday, September 25. We will leave St. Andrews at 9:30 am from the parking lot. The cost is $5.00. I will collect the money before we leave so it will be easier for the cashier at the gardens. Please have the correct amount. There is a parking lot, free of charge, next to the gardens. We can stay parked and walk to a nearby restaurant if you would like to have lunch. There is also a restaurant in Sherman Gardens. Here are a few eateries within walking distance from Sherman Gardens: Bungalow, El Ranchito, Rothschilds, Gulfstream, and Golden Spoons. A few further feet away that you might like: Rose Bakery Cafe, El Cholo and Brueggers Burgers and Bagels. Zinc’s is several blocks away but it does feature vegetarian food. I haven’t tried these restaurants but I know it is hard sometimes to drive in a lot of traffic and try to find a place to eat. I will have sign up sheet at our meeting but if you know you will be attending, please email or call me at 949-498-601.
OurOctober tour will be on Monday, October 16 at Shipley Nature Center in Huntington Beach. The cost is $3.00 and it will be a docent tour. Kathy May’s Lakeview Cafe and The Park Bench Cafe are within walking distance. More details at our next meeting
